Jesus is God Himself come among us a human being (the Hebrew term is "Emmanuel" -- literally "God-with-us").

Jesus is fully God AND fully human -- a unique combination!

He came as the fulfillment of Old Testament hopes of the coming of the "Messiah" (Hebrew), "Christ" (Greek), or "Anointed One" (English).

Through His perfect life -- He never sinned -- He showed us how to live as God intended us to live.  He is the perfect role model for us.

He modeled the perfect love of God -- caring for all people, particularly those most vulnerable and hurting.

Ultimately He willingly chose to be crucified on the cross to pay the price for all human sinfulness.  Anyone who puts their faith in Him is saved.  He took our sin upon Himself and paid the price for it.  This means that we experience a radically new, richer, more meaningful and purposeful life NOW, and we anticipate resurrection life, with the Lord, in the future.

Jesus died, was buried, and on the third day rose from the grave, proving God's victory over all evil -- even death.

He appeared to 500+ witnesses after His resurrection -- this is a well attested historical fact.

Ultimately He ascended into heaven and continue to reign with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus can be personally present in each of our lives, leading, inspiring, teaching, correcting, empowering, and ministering to and through us ...

Our invitation and challenge is to allow Him to fill us, guide us, and direct us as our teacher, mentor, master, lord, and king.
